Sciatic Pain Relief: How Assisted Stretching Can Help
Sciatic pain is like the uninvited guest who barges into your party, ruins the fun, and refuses to leave. Lucky for you, Assisted Stretching is here to kick that party crasher to the curb and restore the peace.
What is Sciatica?
Sciatica typically feels like pain, weakness, numbness, or tingling along the sciatic nerve that runs from your lower back all the way down your legs with branches that extend to the foot. When certain muscle groups like the piriformis or hamstrings become excessively tight, they can compress the sciatic nerve.
How Assisted Stretching Can Help
Targeted Relief: At Stretch U, we have specific stretches and myofascial release techniques for the low back, piriformis, hamstrings, and sciatic nerve.
Improved Posture: By stretching and strengthening the entire body, we help you to restore proper alignment and address the root cause of your sciatic pain.
Enhanced Circulation: Assisted stretching improves blood flow to the affected areas, which helps reduce inflammation and promote healing.

My wife and I are so happy we were recommended to Stretch U Rancho Bernardo by a friend! I went in with sciatic nerve pain in my back. After my first stretch with Chris the pain was alleviated quite a bit. We both go every two weeks now, and I found when my sciatica kicks in, the pain is much less severe since I’ve been stretching. We both get regular sports massage from a certified therapist, and I’d say that the stretching is just as good as a deep tissue massage on your muscles. I recommend Stretch U all the time to friends who complain about back pain or muscle pain in general. Try it out, you will feel great afterwards!
